The Turkish Language Program for Public Officials and Academicians (KATİP) serves as a beacon of cultural exchange and linguistic immersion for international public officials, diplomats, academicians, and researchers. The program offers participants a unique opportunity to deepen their understanding of the Turkish language and culture while strengthening ties between Türkiye and their respective nations.
Since its inception in 2014 by the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB), KATİP has welcomed 195 participants from 80 countries, reflecting its global impact and outreach.
KATİP's mission is to establish robust communication networks, reinforcing the connections between Türkiye and its global partners. The program goes beyond language education to offer immersive experiences that provide insights into Turkish culture and society. Participants benefit from enlightening seminars led by distinguished professors, captivating cultural excursions across Türkiye's diverse landscape, hands-on workshops exploring classical Turkish arts, and traditional sports activities. These experiences enable participants to intimately understand Türkiye's vibrant cultural environment.
In addition, KATİP fosters meaningful interactions with public institutions, think tanks, media outlets, and universities. Participants have the chance to engage in cross-cultural dialogue and establish long-term partnerships through collaborative events and short-term internship opportunities. This fosters sustainable cooperation between nations across various sectors.
